All things by design

This question was brought to my attention about would I use all the makeup I own as I buy more. The answer would be maybe because I must confess I don't wear makeup everday. Its horrifying to say being how im supposed to be a makeup blogger. To tell the truth I am not trying to be like all the other beauty bloggers out there. I'm doing it my way and staying true to that  which is who I  are is key. While getting recognize by makeup companies would be a total blessing and having them send me  products to review would be a dream come true for  me. Anyways after thinking about the fact I wont end up using all the makeup I own I will be cutting back on the purchasing of makeup.  If you guys have a products youguys feeli have to try and review let me know in the comments  below.

I purchased Revlon's just bitten kissable awhile ago. Its a balm stain. I got two colors. I had a bit of sticker shock becuase they cost 7.99 each when I bought them but I really wanted to try them. The packaging they come in makes them look like crayon but plastic. I really like the fact they colored the containers a very close shade to the color of the stain. The two colors I hot are Romantic and Adore. Romantic is the bright red while adore is a deeper almost plum color with gold simmers. They both have a minty feeling to them when you put them on your lips. I really like that about them. They go on smooth and provide amazing coverage and shine. You can put on one coat for a sheer color or two or three to get a statement lip. They make my lips feel moist but not dry like some lipsticks do. The product lasts me awhile and I don't have to reapply it every few minutes like some lipsticks. The only down fall I have had with this product  is when I put on two many coats to make i...

I was browsing on the internet for a makeup brand I had not seen and I was struck with a thought about animal testing. I know a few makeup brands post on their websites that they are cruelty free . While the thought of testing any kind of makeup on animals had not crossed my mind while shopping for makeup.  It really should even if your not a big animal activist. At least thinking about it and being aware of the brands that do and do not test their products on animals is a good idea. Another thing I found out while doing a bit of research some companies that normally don't test on animal unless required by law. Which is good to know because the law is something you can't by past.  I felt a bit of shame for not thinking about it. But I did  find a list of companies that don't test on animals unless required by law. The list is the photo that i have with the post.   I will find a list of companies that do test on animals.  Also I will do more research on this subj...

Took a trip to the neighbourhood Wal-Mart near my home for a last few things to complete dinner.I picked up a few extra things along the way. I got some equate brand face cleaner that I have used before but its been a long time. Got a new mascara by.....I don't even and I'm not near it. But its the one in the pink and green container. That one used to be my go to mascara in the past but I have changed to one by Revlon. I needed a new mascara because the one I have is almost out.so I decided to get it. I also was looking at the makeup by N.Y.C. I had purchased products from them years ago and wanted to give them another try. Also it helped that they had lipstick for 93'cent each. That being said I purchased all the types of reds they had in that price range. I'll do a post with swatches and more later. I really hope I like them because it would be a bummer to.have.bought them and I don't like them. Yet alas that is a issue I must deal with as I review new to me makeu...

While I was away working at a Medieval fair. A friend of mine, Apple who works for Mica cosmetics gave me some eyeshadow samples. I have not gotten an chance to do a full out look with these yet but I have swatched them. Also I have gotten to use a bit of Ambivalence which is the gold one in the bottom right of the four. The texture of all of them is very fine like pixie dust. That is the way I would be able to describe it. The shadow is very pigmented and a little gose a long way. I don't know how big the eye shadow comes but I am sure that it will last you a long time. You only need just a bit on your brush unless you want it to be really bold then you would pack it on. I plan on buying some later on so I can give a full review on the product to include the package and their service of the people working the store. As far as I know there is not a Mica cosmetics store in Tulsa but I know there is one in Norman.

I am still looking into a good makeup storage option for myself. I have seen many other beauty gurus on YouTube with different types of storage. I found the draws from pier 1 many of them have. While I like the idea of it but I dislike the mirrored look. I have also looked into storage options from target that are budget reasonable. I like the price but don't really care for the look. I have settled on looking for jewelry arimores. That way I can store make up and jewelry.  Sorry I don't have a review for you on the makeup mentioned in the post before this one.

Have not blogged in a few days. I was away doing an event. While I was away I was given some eyeshadow samples from the makeup company she works for so I will have post about that soon.

This post will be short. I have heard back from a few more companies today. I have gotten a few "not able to.do so at this time", "we will get back to you" and I received one letting me know how many followers I needed before I could be considered. All of this is helpful information to me and it also encourages me to keep at it. I am enjoying it so far.

I know im not the only beauty blogger out there and their are tons of us fighting for attention from makeup companies. I have been sending out e-mails to a few different companies. I have gotten a few replies.I have a few of them listed in the picture.I started this as my second blog because thw first one the website I was using did not work qutie for me. I am enjoying this even if I don't get noticed. If I do get some recognition from a few makeup up companies that would be a joy and if not oh well. In a earlier post I talked about sending an e-mail to limecrime to inquire about having products sent to me for review. They were very quick with getting back to me. Sadly they were not able to send out products for review just yet. They were very nice and they gave me 20% off coupon for my next purchase. I will still continue to purchase from them. I will post about the other companies I have sent inquiries to.
