Animal testing

I was browsing on the internet for a makeup brand I had not seen and I was struck with a thought about animal testing. I know a few makeup brands post on their websites that they are cruelty free . While the thought of testing any kind of makeup on animals had not crossed my mind while shopping for makeup.  It really should even if your not a big animal activist. At least thinking about it and being aware of the brands that do and do not test their products on animals is a good idea. Another thing I found out while doing a bit of research some companies that normally don't test on animal unless required by law. Which is good to know because the law is something you can't by past.  I felt a bit of shame for not thinking about it. But I did  find a list of companies that don't test on animals unless required by law. The list is the photo that i have with the post.   I will find a list of companies that do test on animals.  Also I will do more research on this subject some more.F.Y.I this list was not made by me but another blog. I found it on www.beautyfool.com. I will do more research to see if there is another up to date list. It was crazy to see how many brands of products that I used or am thinking about purchasing are on the list and ones I didn't see on the list. One of the brands I was happy to see on the do not test list was Revlon because I found a list of their lipsticks that the colors are still the same since the 40's. I am a fan of pin up and rockabilly culture and fashion.  So I was very excited to find said list. Another one is MAC I am pretty sure I cry if one of my favorite brands tested on animals.  I really like mac products while I am not sure if I would stop buying them if they did but I know it would feel a bit weird. Yet another just popup into my head is that we test a lot of things on animals.  Think about many of  medicines are tested on animals before tested on people.  It is crazy to think about. Also I would like challenge those who view this post. The challenge is would you continue to use your favorite  brand of makeup if they tested on animals or would you look for an brand that is close to what you use but does not test on animals?
