The balancing act !

When I started cosplaying 90% of my costumes came out of things I already owned for I was new at this and I really didn't have the knowledge to create somethings! Now,that I have been cosplaying for some years I have risen in my skill level! I still buy part of my items and even commission them at times! I don't enter them in contests and I sure to give credit when it is due! Balancing cosplaying and the rest of my life can be hard. Especially when it comes down to getting the yearly fund set up for materials for line up you have! Then weight your options to make or commission your cosplay! While yes it saves time I tend to miss the fact that I didn't have some part in making that cosplay yet on the flip side I know at times I need to add more to the commission to make it ready or change parts that did not turn out right! This is were I am at this very moment trying to figure out is it worth it to commission a dress and have to change parts of it to match or make the time to make the dress myself! I tend to do both or make it wear I have enough done that it is wearable then work on improvements later! Know me I will make the one dress and commission a backup outfit for the same character just in case. While this is a safe bet it is also more costly if you are not prepared for that! I'm on the hunt now for the best savings to create what I need! Set your self out a budget and make a list of your line up. Be sure to include all parts needed for that cosplay! That way you can plan out a how much every thing will cost you and you can make a plan to reach your goal of the line up you have made for the year! Balancing out cosplaying and the other parts of my life sometimes get frustrating cause I have stretched myself to far! My goal no plan for this year is to make out a plan to have each of my cosplay a on a due date that way I can space out the funds for that plus the funds and time needed for my everyday life. I'm sure I was all over I. This post for it was something that came to be super early this morning! I'm going to improve the way I plan my time by organizing it all and staying on track and giving each item the time it is due!
